Story:
Krishna (Hrithik) is the young man who lives in a remote village located amidst hills along with his granny, Rekha. He is possessed with super powers. He never considers what he had are ‘powers’. His isolation in between hills keeps him in innocence and worldly ignorance. He can climb hills like a monkey, he can float in air like a bird, he can jump to unimaginable heights, he can break a rock with a mere fist blow and he can do many superior things beyond a common man. But he holds them all with an innocent smile and willingness to help others.
Once, a parasailing team camps in the village. Heroine Priya (Priyanka Chopra), while sailing on a parachute, falls down accidentally. Hrithik takes a big leap and saves Priyanka. Eventually the entire team discovers the super natural power of Hrithik. When Priyanka returns back to her place in Singapore, she decides to project Hrithik in the TV channel she works. She coins a program, ‘Just Imagine’ to show Hrithik and get reputation to her channel. Thus she calls Hrithik and says that she is in love with him.
Hrithik flies all the way from that hamlet to Singapore for Priya’s love. He uses his powers for good and protects the needy. He saves lives, he entertains and he goes close to the hearts of Singapore citizens. But he does all that in mask by hiding his identity.
Hrithik’s father, Rohit Mehra (another Hrithik Roshan) was a scientist who aids another scientist, Arya (Naseeruddin Shah) in inventing a computer that shows future. Rohit Mehra is an extension of Hrithik’s character in ‘Koi Mil Gaya’. But jealous Naseeruddin puts an end to scientist Hrithik, as he thinks that entire credit goes to him. In the flow of drama, the young Hrithik discovers that Naseeruddin was the villain behind his father’s end. Young Hrithik finally finishes Naseeruddin and his sinister desires.
Performances:
Hrithik Roshan is really wonderful as an innocent village boy, a powerful fighter, a good lover and a good scientist. Priyanka Chopra is adequate as female lead. Rekha, the Hrithik’s Granny, looks really older. She usually keeps herself in the mask of youth appeal, but for this film, she appears to be a bit liberal. Sarath Saxena is sufficient as a security officer. Naseeruddin Shah performed villainy to his excellence.
Cinematography and Graphics prove to be excellent.
Analysis:
The film promises a wonderful narration of a socio-fantasy. Indian films seem to be entering into the stream of films like Matrix, Superman and more. The elements shown on screen are no way less to the standards of Hollywood flicks. The films ‘Matrix’, ‘Mask Of Zorro’, ‘Spiderman’, ‘Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon’ and ‘Hulk’ would make their flashes while watching the film.
Graphics used for the film are quite impressive and exhaustive. The film allures the kids in particular. Girls would go bananas looking at the muscular Hrithik with innocence in looks. To sum up, the film is made on Hrithik Roshan, for Hrithik Roshan and obviously by Rakesh Roshan. Well, it’s indeed an extension of ‘Koi Mil Gaya’.
