Balaram (Pradeep) is a lorry cleaner and a diehard fan of Santosh Babu (Vamsi), a hero with 8 blockbusters. One day, Balaram and his friends attend the hero’s next film launch and shooting. But, Balaram is not satisfied with the director.
When he tells the lack of skills of the director, his friends don’t accept his opinion. After a heated argument, Balaram throws a challenge to his friends that he would make a film with his icon within one year. Leaving home and landing himself in Hyderabad, he finds it a tough job to realize his challenge. After a lot of hardship, he gets an opportunity to tell his story to his hero, but there also he is subjected to humiliation. The time is running out. Dejected, Balaram attempts suicide but luckily survives it. His own mother stands as his mentor. How he realizes his ambition forms the rest of the story.
Pradeep Pinisetty, son of ace director Raviraja Pinisetty performed well, but a lot of improvement is required on his part. Same is the case with Vamsi, who did the role of Santosh Babu.
Deepa, Madhu Shalini, and Pooja Bharati – all have little footage in the movie.
The roles of Tannikella Bharani, MS Narayana, Srinivasa Reddy are apt as per the story tackled by Teja himself.
The role of Telengana Sakuntala is stretched beyond the requirement, but it has come out well only to focus much punch on the audiences.
It is presented by Union Minister Dr. Dasari Narayana Rao.
Story, Dialogues, Screenplay and Direction are by Teja, who tried to finish all in a huff, yet with dexterity of his own type. He tried to project the fallacies among the youngsters about the film world. In a sense, he tried to make home that glamour and the reality behind it are not the same.
But, the audiences would feel that the logic is missing often and the subject getting dry.
Music by Srimurali is a perfect match to the lyrics. Dialogues by Teja are nice.
Sandeep Reddy, son of Gopal Reddy, displayed superb ease in handling the camera.
Much care is taken to deal the comedy department in an impressive way.
Performances Pradeep Pinisetty steals the show with intense eyes and shows a spark. Vamsee fits the role perfectly as the dumb and arrogant actor (may or may or not need acting, who knows?) but he comes across as wooden and awkward sometimes. Krishna Bhagwan as the cameraman and Srinivasa Reddy as Santhosh’s manager are very good.
